Ever since I was a little kid, the idea that someone could create something out of a few strokes of a pencil fascinated me. Not only do we see these shapes as more than a few lines, but we feel an emotional attachment to them. We are sad when they are sad, we laugh when they make jokes. They are more than the sum of their parts. To me, comics are the most intimate form of art. I find myself more engaged with a drawn person more than one simply described with only words or pictures. There’s something magical that happens when they go hand in hand, something that no other artistic medium can mimic, and I find that very exciting.
In Nomine Domini.
